ACT is value based and process oriented. Goals are pointing into the direction we’re going, which is paramount to my work and how I help people.
A person who is mentally inflexible cannot learn or change their behaviour and thinking, such as;
- alcohol, drugs, gambling, drug and sex addictions
- are unhappy, at work, in life and in marriages
- are stuck, unpleasant to be with and not agreeable
How do you find the way out?
My answer – Get to know yourself.
Asking yourself simple questions, such as;
- Who am I?
- Why am I like this?
- How do I find my meaning and purpose?
Every person experiences the world through their own lens. What is my lens?
Our sessions:
- DISC Personality Profile Questionnaire for adults, youth and children.
- Emotional Intelligence (EI) Questionnaire for adults and youth.
Understanding ourselves helps us better connect with others and see the world through their perspective. Life is always changing, and how we respond to these changes either strengthens or weakens us. If we stop learning, we lose what we’ve gained, and if we resist adapting to challenges, we may be overwhelmed by them. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) supports growth by helping us navigate life’s challenges with resilience, ensuring we adapt and grow stronger.

Evidence-based Approach:
“ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) aims to maximise human potential for a rich and meaningful life by:
- Helping us to clarify what’s truly important and meaningful to us–That is, clarify our values— and use that knowledge to guide, inspire, and motivate us to do those things that will enrich and enhance our life;and
- teaching us psychological skills (mindfulness skills) that enable us to handle difficult thoughts and feelings effectively, engage fully in whatever we are doing, and appreciate and savor the fulfilling aspects of life.”
– Dr. Russ Harris
“Psychological Flexibility can be defined as contacting the present moment as conscious human being, fully and without needless defense–as it is and not what it says it is–and persisting with or changing behavior in the service of chosen values.”
– S.Hayes, K. Strohsal and K. Wilson (2012, pp.96-97)
“Trauma informed approach is integrated and woven into ACT by using the Polyvagal theory (Fight, Flight, Freeze) Understanding the Science of Safety – Emotions, Attachment, Communication Self-and Co-Regulation.”
– Stephen W. Porges
“We must never forget that we may also find meaning in life even when confronted with a hopeless situation, when facing a fate that cannot be changed.”
